How You Can Help
Underprivileged families, migrant workers, the homeless, people in night shelters, and other marginalized groups are at risk of chronic hunger.
Your donation will help fill a hungry stomach.
DonateThe Mid-Day Meal Programme being implemented under the PM POSHAN Abhiyaan is designed to help promote the nutritional levels of underprivileged, school-age children enrolled in Government and Government-aided schools. Akshaya Patra implements the programme by serving nutritious hot, cooked meals to children on every school day. Meals are cooked at the Foundation’s 65 kitchens following stringent safety and quality measures, with menus curated to suit the local palate of children in every location. Meals are delivered via customised vehicles designed to keep food hot and fresh until served in the benenficary schools.
Akshaya Patra strives, through this programme, towards achieving two critical UN Sustainable Development Goals: Zero Hunger and Quality Education, with the preliminary goal of eliminating classroom hunger in India.
Serving Meals to close to 2 million children, every day.
Meals have been served since 2000
